Question BPD or BPT engine into a KJ Laser Lynx..

Hey all,
I was looking for some help... I want to put a turbo engine into my lynx but am unsure which of the two mazda engines i should use. A BPT or BPD? Would anybody be able to help me? And if so do you have any information about modifications that may be required when i install the engine?
I am aware that the BPD engine is much more gutsy then the BPT engine, but I would like to know if they are readily available with a manual gearbox in australia. Also are there any mods to the wiring and where can i get an ECU for the engine to be installed?
Thanks pplz...
Jess.

It'd be easier for you to source a BPT than it would for you to source a BPD. Also, it's more expensive for a BPD I think I read somewhere that a half cut for one is around $5,000.

As far as I'm aware the BPT and BPD only came out as a manual. .

From what I've read the BPT should just drop into the KJ, You'd want to make sure that you have a G-Series Gear Box, Drive Shafts and DOHC Brakes in order to get a modification plate (or whatever it's called there).

The BPT (should) come with ECU and Loom, however I'm not sure if it's a direct fit for the KJ.

Hopefully someone who's done the conversion to a KJ will be able to help you out.

Lynx already has DOHC brakes, ABS and all that stuff that engineers like to see. You're biggest problem will be working space - the Lynx bay is a tight one (probably the smallest in the family) and getting neat front mount piping etc will take a little more work that some of the other cars you can whack a BPT into.

What year Lynx?
