There's plenty of Rota wheels in 4x100 on eBay for around $750-800/set that weigh around 5-6kg each.

easy....remove the battery negative terminal and press the break paddle for about 30 seconds to drain any residue current.

Question: how do I know when to flush my brake fluid? Mine's fairly dark, does that indicate that it should be changed?

If you don't know the last time it was flushed then it's probably the time.
If you're doing it your self then choose a different colour fluid so you know when it's bled through. It's scary the amount of black krap that came out of mine on Saturday, much better brake feel now and I've only done the front.

Cheers. Also, I have a 500ml bottle that I used to top it up late last year that's about 3/4 full, but I'm told that you should only use fresh fluid because it absorbs moisture from the air. Is that true or can I use it? It's been kept in the original bottle just sealed with the twist cap lid.

the absorbtion of moisture is a major problem with brake fluid. u should always use fresh if posible as that moisture is the thing that will boil at a much lower temp than the rest of the fluid and can cause fade very unexpectedly
cheers for that asanga. i checked my error codes 2dai with a led test light.. all i got was the light turning on once and then off. i guess that means its good.. however there is petrol coming out of my exhaust (black smoke) so i have a problem somwhere.. jst dont know where.. its runnign very rich for some reason

Yeah but what I want to know is, will there have been much moisture absorption in a bottle that was used once then sealed?

Always new. One for the moisture and two for the colour. Lastly brake fluid is relativly cheap.
You'll need a length of clear hose that fits the bleed nipple so you can see air bubbles and also when the new fluid comes through and an 8mm spanner for the nipple. If you're doing it your self look for a one-man brake bleed kit $20 to $30.

does anyone know the specifications on the wiring used for the headlights?
i've got a busted parker light which works when i wriggle the wire...

sounds like the wire has a break in it somewhere so i was going to cut it and rewire it myself just want to use the right sort of wire.

my kit is similar.

but i used 200mm length of tube from clark rubber, stabbed a hole in the side of a 600ml coke bottle. cost me $5 if you include the cost of the coke inside the bottle.

i would have no idea what gauge the wire is, but its for a parker bulb (t10) so at most u will be getting 5W thru it (for incandesent bulb) and if u are using LED u will be pushing 1W with the SMD ones (unless they are these new ones i saw on ebay that claim ot be 3W LOL as if) the parker/indicator wiring is setup as one harness and it plugs in to a socket on the wall lower and behind the headlights on the wheel arch, so if u can get another one of these from the wrecker it would look stock. i wouldnt reccomend cutting it off and putting a new one one, unless you pull them out of the plug and rewire the t10 plug itself, as the break might be in that 5 or so mm up to the plug lol.

thats the pic i took last time my lights were out
the thing i was talking bout is the plug in the centre of the screen (this is the drivers headlight looking from the front) but its the only plug so u cant relly miss it there
the wires hanging in the front of the pic are the parker/indicator harness
