for the people attending from brisbane/Ipswich/Toowoomba, has anyone thought about staying up the coast the night before and possibly the night of skidpan day? I mean its a 2.5hr drive just to Ipswich from Gympie, so I am looking at accomodation so its not going to be too stressful driving back...
Just a thought.. We stayed in these apartments for Ryan & Mels wedding last year, and is $250 for the 2 nights, for those that want to be close to the water http://www.joanneapartments.com/

That is a great idea. But for now I'd put it on hold. Due to the low numbers, the event may be postponed or at worst cancelled. I have flooded other communities to gather more interest, but currently I am not getting any bites. We are still 10.5 weeks away, so I might be worrying for no reason.
A decission will be made around the 14th of March. Full refunds will be given if the event is postponed or cancelled. Sorry to be a downer on the idea, but I just didn't want people to book accommodation just in case. Ryan |

Yes it sucks, and I really do not wanna do that if I do not have to. But losing the $250 deposit I paid for the pan is better than losing the $550ish that is the current shortfall.
Still 4.5 weeks though to the 14th of March. So not at death's door yet. Again, if anyone knows of somebody that may wanna give it a go. Then pass on the details please. |

We shouldn't have too much of a problem filling the spaces. I will be transferring the deposit for John from CMR tomorrow who is going to bring his Mini (old school real one) and a friend who has a 350Z who will let me know in days if he can make it. Im also trying to get hold of a mate who was at last years dyno day with the Evo 6.5 as he is really keen to come to a skid pan day. |

Monies sent to ya Ryan!
Also I better get a new licence printed, lost it down town the other day cos bouncers wouldn't accept my crappy 18+ card, which had been printed that day, but the stupid transport department didn't seal it properly and the bouncers just had to squeeze the edges for it to fall apart - only have a passport to identify my self at this stage. /rant Cheers, Steve. |

If only it wasn't just for open license holders, i would be on it for sure, and so would my g/f but fact is because of this restriction we can't I know its probably for insurance and other reasons but fact is Its not just open license holders who need the experience, The price for doing the actual course without a group is like $300 each its riddiculous yeah ok i did it with school last year but i had only just got my p's now i have some experience i'd love to have a refresh of the course but i guess i'm just gonna have to hold off until i get my open's or they remove the restriction.
