Larger Engines in a Astina

So the code of practice for putting larger engines into car came up in another community. So after doing a little research, our BA Astinas at 1160kg would be allowed to have a 5800cc engine is it, and still be legal.

5700cc LS1 engine from a Corvet?

May need to massage the bonnet a little to fit it in.

p.s. I just re read it, and it has to be based off the heaviest version. So bigger again?

This might still be the case for QLD

it was in NSW similar. But they recently rewrote the legislation and ruleings.

But the other side of it is. That in some cases AS an example you need documentation showing your car as being heavier and you can get away with it. Even offical weight car maker etc.

But yes you can put a 4.8L V8 into a astina or simlar. But there in lies the game of the fact that, A how you make it fit etc.

but I know in the USA some put in 1st gen Mx-6 a Ford SHO V8 - that's a FWD 5 speed auto 4.6L V8 SOHC 3 valve engine, all alloy too.

SO yeah if you just want something silly LOL

LET ME JUST ADD

HELLO import Mazda 6 US spec 3.7L aka from CX-9 - combo and put that in. A Mazda6 US does 6 seconds to the 60MPH mark and well think how quick in a Astina BG BA BJ ?
