It doesnt have a numbered code but it has this symbol Circle with 3 lines (See below)
When I dug around at the wreckers For 1.8L DOHC KF-KH and BG Boxes, I found the F boxes Had the F5M-R code stamped on them, and the G's had this Symbol in the same spot but no Stamped codes. Also I found the F boxes to be lighter and didn't have the webing lines where the CV connects (See pic below). The reason I didn't use this box is it was my 3'rd backup box, The first 2 G'series boxes I bought off people who said they were in good condition and pulled from running cars turned out to be completely stuffed and un-usable and as I didn't know the history of this box I didn't want to pay the shop more money to open it up, so I bought a 4th from the Wreckers. All the black on it was from the previous owners attempt to paint it, LOL This Bit here looks different on an F-Series, It doen't have the webing lines, Last edited by memphis9787; 22-11-2012 at 09:03 AM. |

Nah mate, this is for a FWD vehicle, you'll need a 4WD gearbox

Same issue with the splines being different again here on a BA vs bg? If they were the same I'd take it for a spare. Just to give me the confidence to abuse my built motor.

Yeah man Ive had my fair share of re-splining issues, never again will I stuff around getting custom shafts. I put a 28 Spline lsd into a G-Series so inner cvs and halfshaft had to changed to 28
NOTE for anyone interested. this box will be for the 1.8L Mazda 323 BG & Ford Lasers KF/KH people and its 26 Spline, |

just to add... in case you're looking for another gearbox in the future, try to find one with a white sticker that belongs here:
it has the actual build codes on there and from there you can match it up to the gearbox chart on my website... you will know exactly what it is then! no guessing!
