ABS wasn't on all the early V6s. Have a look around one of the back wheels for an electric cable that disapears into the boot area.

Oil filter on the V6 is actually on the front side of the block mounted vertically on the driver's side of the exhaust. The easiest way to get to it is to take the plastic bash plate off (or just undo some of the screws and bend it out of the way). I still haven't found out how to take it off without covering my hand with oil - it tends to overflow down the outside of the filter and go everywhere so just be careful.

The easiest way to see if it has ABS (if you're under the car changing the oil) is to look at the inside of the front wheel hubs. On mine (which has ABS) there's a sprocket looking thing just on the inside of the hub. There is a sensor attached (I think its near the top-rear of the sprocket) that determines if the wheel has stopped turning or not from the edges of the sprocket. I'll try and find a photo.
Like Cosmo said - some of the early ones didn't come with it..... I know Tony's/Dave's didn't :P
