What car are you thinking about buying next, or what major plans do you have atm?

Hi all, I've been thinking about what i'd do as soon as I got off my greens, and I think I really want something with more power, perhaps an evo or an mps, however I really love my Astina and was thinking about a complete engine rebuild (turbocharged) and respraying the whole thing, I know this would take a lot of time and effort and money but I have a couple of mates that seem like they would be more than happy to help me and they are very knowledgeable, having built several cars themselves.

So I guess my question to everyone is, are you gonna keep your car the way it is, turbo it, or buy a newer model?

Probably gonna buy 2 cars within the next 12 months.
1. Around $25K on a 18 month old soccer mum car that is 2.0-2.5L FWD or AWD.
2. Undecided on cost, but the 323 needs to be retired as a daily, and I'm not man enough to sell it.

Much the same as Mat.

Too far down the road now to really change. But would like to grab an S2000 or a BRZ (pending on how they progress)

Maybe an Evo or something but honestly don't want a turbo Sometime in the next 6 years I want to do Targa Tasmania, so will prolly progress towards that.

Now that frankenstina is pretty much finished and I don't want to destroy it driving to and from work im looking at buying another toy or another everyday car.
So that means an NA or NB MX5 or similar.
I still have the 100cc 2 stroke scooter which I ride during the warmer/lighter months.

we did look at a 1970 zd fairlaine with stroked big block auto+9 inch diff but decided against it as bodywork was in question above windscreen pillars so sticking with protege and eb fairmont.

Last car was a Nissan Skyline R32 Gtst and my next car will be a Nissan S15 Spec R, I want turbo and more power going to have to look hard for a stockish one with low k's and build it up from there.

As for my SP20 by the time i have paid it off it should have around 100 thousand K's and be they way that I want it, few mods to come.

The 3 has two years left in it but if I was to replace it now it would be for a Cx-5 diesel. Luckily I can wait for the new 6 to be released and check it out.
If the Astina went then it would be a toss up between an Rx-8 and a second gen FC.

Back to reality gotta have a chat with mechanic to put the FE3 in the BA and add a turbo.

Next car i want to buy i want it to be a brand spanker.

Will either be a Mazda 6 if im feeling luxury. New look even sweetens that deal.
Mazda RX8
Mitso Evo 10 (Will settle for slightly used due to price)
Newer WRX (sedan one, those make me druel, also will settle for slightly used)

Those are all very expensive so they wont be happening for a few years yet until i get a full time job when finishing uni. So at least 2+ years... But seriously, im very content with the Mazda.

The plan if a unmentionable happens to the SP20, i will probably go MPS (Not the newer shape)

Edit: Oh also, this weeks obsession is a Skyline V35. It changes weekly.
