EZLip coming free in the mail soon. Yeah, getting some hate on the idea, but it's my car & my own taste going toward it. I'm pretty happy, another idea from the drawing crossed out.
If you like the idea, head over to ezlip.com. They do give-aways once every Monday. Free delivery too! Edit* MightyCarMods.com stickers in the mail

Well, I went outside & did some work on my car with Dad. Great end to a Sunday afternoon. Still young in the car modding world, so I guess this is the best place to start right?
Also, I've got "part 2" of my YouTube series up so far & with my job starting in about 2-3 weeks time I should be getting some good money to start doing stuff on this thing. Will need to get some info from Rupe soon on OEM spotlights and aftermarket grilles.

So, got the EZLip installed today. Yep, know what you're going to say. (Garage Lip -_-) Yeah, but it's free so...
Got some pics up after a drive around Sorell, Lewisham, Dodges Ferry & Carlton River. Was good fun.

Sooo... just a little update on my real life car.
I'm keeping it. I'm buying a Kia Koup in about half a year & will be keeping it as kind of a backup car. The Mazda on the other hand will be my daily for work, but I'll be doing vids on it on my YouTube channel as I'll be doing it up. I'm thinking of doing it in kind of a functional stance kind of look as it will be my daily, so 15" mags on stretched tyres, a bit of lower, and (maybe) a straight pipe. *claps hands in excitement* I can't wait guys! So, I've finally managed to get a good paying job. Bunning's which should get me $1000-$2000 a week. I'm 20 mow so adult wages are kicking in already. I know this thread has been a little dull lately, but it's taken a while to find a job down here in Tassie. Well, hopefully that sketch I posted earlier will actually become real soon. Thanks for viewing this post & being patient with me on this painful wait for money & mods. I hope to get this YouTube mod series started with my car soon too.

No idea lol. Just started working there & started getting paid like that. Dad works there too & was surprised that I'm earning more than him lol. I could possibly have to do with my qualifications in finishing a few IT courses the past few years. Other than that, I have no idea lol.

Stuffed my Mazda again. >:(
Third accident I've had, but this time it was actually my fault. Reversed the car & the passenger side doors crunched into a gate at the Domino's car-park. I'm so annoyed! Anyway, "REQUESTS/IDEAS ON MY NEXT CAR". Should I: 1. save 6 months for a $15,000AUD '08-'09 model "Kia Koup" or 2. save a few months longer for a $23,500AUD '12 model "Toyota 86" or 3. save 6 months for a (about) $10,000AUD '04 model "Mazda RX-8"? The guys at work say the 86 (majority of Tasmanians are stanced Subi fanatics & I have many contacts for cheap parts), but my mind tells me to go for the Kia Koup, but I love Mazdas which is why I like the RX-8. Kinda confused lol. I'll still be keeping my current Mazda though for work & to keep the k's down on the next car. Can't be bothered fixing the doors now. Might do it later down the track & will still continue with my plan to stance it. :)

Get an 86 haha. My mate owns a nicely modded one. Lots of upgrades though - mainly suspension/wheels/tyres - but the thing handles like its on rails. Amazing cars to drive, even when stock!

KIA Koups are rubbish, don't waste your time. 86 would be the best of all three by far because it's much newer. RX-8 requires a bit more maintenance/care, make sure you do your research before going down that path.

86 would be mad yeah. Saw a Koup today, but meh, not too keen on them now as I used to be. Yeah, did some research too & yeah, RX-8s probs aren't a smart idea. 86s seem to be going alright in pre-owned prices.
Anyway, here's a little picture update on the Astina:
Firstly, I've been browsing through some US protege5 forums & found that the Honda rear wiper delete plugs fit on the BJ hatches. I bought one for that cleaner look & also as the wiring was stuffed anyway. The motor is still good though. Next, I tried testing out Dad's wheels from his Getz. They cleared the brakes and springs much better than the stock wheels. Less than and inch clearance before. Full set on. Purchased a new set of mags the next day. Rear shot. Much more flush than stock. Removed the plastic strips from the doors last week and finished off some amber tint on the front indicators. Sides and rears will be done in a few weeks. You can see the damage in this shot. I'm pretty happy with the result, I got Mum to take a pic. Better lighting. So, big things I'd like to get done next are de-badging, bumper & door repairs, spot-lights, aftermarket grille, Rhino wind fairing, wind-deflectors, some lower, new front lip. Maybe a respray?

How the car looks atm. Also got a new wind fairing. I'm defs loving my progress so far. Slow, but getting there.
And I did a little Photoshop to see what some stealth/diamonds would look like on it. And yeah... just a little chill pic from today. I need friends I know. :P

Gotta lower the beast man.
2 things I'd do, that top strip of the grill where the mazda emblem, the emblem just pops off and then Spray that back, will help break down the front a bit more And night shade the side indicator. It'll blend in with the tint and door handles, Oh and Also Slam it man

Side indicators will be done the same color as the front ones in a few days. Not sure about the rear though. Might just amber spray the rear indicator bulbs. She's getting there I guess. Oh, just remembered. Debadged the rear on Monday. Left some holes, but will leave it like that for now.

Sound clip of the straight pipe? Would be curious to hear what it sounds like on the 1.6.

Need to loose that 4WD ride height stat! I'd spray the side indicators the same amber as the fronts rather than nightshade.

Might get a vid up sometime yeah.
Once I get the coils, might think of getting some spacers. Use them for a while until I can get some 15" x 8.5" mags.
