Hi everyone!! Greetings from Melbourne

Hello!

I'm Mookie and I just moved here from Malaysia about 4 months ago and bought a 2003 manual Mazda Astina 323 last week from a car dealer in Ringwood. I'm really excited because this is my first car and I think I'll be here quite often to do some research on a reliable mechanic around my area and other stuff. Although I just bought this car, today my battery went flat and I couldn't get it to start, managed to drive home after getting it jump started but I guess I'll have to change the battery. Any idea how much that'll cost? All help and info is very much appreciated. Thank you in advance

Welcome to AstinaGT, as for the battery should be under $100, make a few calls as prices will vary from store to store.

Welcome to AGT

if you're after a good mechanic, I'd recommend HS Motors in Ringwood North. I've used them a few times and they're good guys

Thanks guys!! I had to change the battery on the spot in my house. This guy came over and I paid $175 for it. But now I know better. Will be more prepared for this next time
