i never ran camber bolts in the front, and had the bolts on the outer most part of the oval upper hole in the clevises. and with the car lowered 55-60mm, i got 1d30' with the adjustor about 1-2mm from the max setting.
is it scraping on the block the protrudes out inside the drivers side wheel well? if so, do not worry. if the car was lowered 20mm, it would scrape on it. |

i have been scrapping that block for 6 year now. and have worn through the plastic probably 5.5 years ago. hasn't caused me any tyre or wheel issues, if that can be some relief for you. and it's not like i have driven my car around sedately is it?

I just repainted my rear wiper arm and installed the new SuperGrid wiper. Looks much better without all that rust for some strange reason.

225/50R15 is way too big for the wheel width and car.
225/45R45 would've been a better rolling diameter for the car. 205/50R15 would've been a better for the width of the wheel. The rear pods look great. Actually the whole car looks great! |

Removed, resprayed and reinstalled the front wiper arms. Now they judder across my windscreen. I'm guessing I didn't get their 'alignment' spot on.

Thank you for the feedback, I'm still learning about rims/tires combos. What kinds of problems do you think I will run into using these? When you say it is way too big for the car what do you mean?

Both width and the sidewall bulge.
Rolling diameter on the stand 30X/MX3 would've been somewhere around 585-590mm. The 225/50R15 would be 606mm. This isn't a huge difference, but can slow the accelleration down as the cars is trying to spin more mass with more effort. Extra rolling diameter isn't always a bad thing. It can add size to the contact patch which will help with forward grip. It is a balancing at between the two. The tyre width on that rim with what is the real concern. That bulge will flex alot in corners. Flexing causes heat, heat plays with the compounds used. Not enough heat, the compound is useless, too much heat, the compound is useless. Again another balancing act. Fitment? Look at how much the tyre sticks out of the fenders. They will rub and scruff and do all kinds of damage. when I look at the combo, and only from pics on the other size of the interweb. So I don't see the whole situation. But I'd be fitting 205/50R15s. 1. They will stick out 10-15mm less than the current tyres. 2. The bulge will be gone, you will have better heat resistence. 3. Your gearing will be very close to spot on. Note where the tread shoulder is in relation to the outside lip on the wheel. I had a much better post, but the internet went poof when I originally hit send. Last edited by project.r.racing; 09-04-2012 at 09:34 AM. |

Bought a 12" ported sub box & 1600ma battery charger from Repco this morning, so now the greenbirds stereo is 95% complete (just have to purchase an amp kit) and I dont have to keep borrowing my old mans charger (yes I realise I should have purchased something that has a better ma rating, but will only use it for charging R/C batteries)

Bought a "car" attachment for the pressure washer and cleaned all the cars today.
Pretty sure all it does is make the beam wider and lower the pressure a little ad to not strip the paint. But it does work well and makes washing quick and easy Also cleans the wheels nice and quick without having to scrub
