thanks for the comments,
and yes it is a bit of a pain to take it out, and there is no real point either. but i will have to take it out now, after the heat, a 20cm crack appeared on the drivers side.

Urgent
well not really urgent, just thought it would get your attention
how do i get the aerial off? i have just unscrewed the screws, and pulled it out as far as it goes, but i would prefer it if it was completely off so how do you get that stupid Ariel off??? if i can't get it off it really doesn't matter, but it just makes it that little bit harder to spray

Paint!!! + Pics!!!
hey, guy's/girls.
its been a while since i have been working on the 'stina., due to this crappy painting weather. but this weekend i have spent preping and painting the 'stina. so far, we have painted the body, doors, boot lid, sunroof, bonnet, and guards. The colour (Red Hot) is exactly what i wanted, am i am extremely happy with the results, considering that it still needs to be sanded back and buffed. I still need to paint the front + rear bumper, the door strips and the wing, in red. and the door sill, around the doors and the front bumper with the black. here are the pics of the progress, please comment.

Looks great mate, however you should paint the door strips in Black, just to break it up. search for LYNX on this forum, he resprayed his black and it really made the car look great!

i did consider that after seeing Ben_P's astina.
but i think that i will stick with the red strips, as it will go with my front bar colour setup. if you could find some good examples of the red strips that would be great, as i haven't really had anything to compare it to

i have seen it with the red strips somewhere and tbh it doesnt look all that good...looks plastic and fake to me
and even though your bumpers are all one colour, it still looks pretty good with just the sides done. my car has colour coded bumpers with the black strips and i like it..although my car isnt red lol |

Pics!!! Update!!!!
after 2 weeks during my school holidays, and working almost every day on the stina,
it is finally finished, well pretty much. all of the paint is done, all interior cleaned, a few water pipes replaced, and a full service. things to do: Put The rims on (old tires are crap, rims are pitted on the inside and parts of the out side), put the exhaust on, i got a cannon from the wreckers (old muffler is rusted). and i still have to buff the head light covers. Here are the pics; Body: Interior: Please leave a comment
