Auto Adjusting Suspension

I have the option of hard, soft or auto.
Auto operates all four shocks when the steering wheel is turned more than 22 degrees, the brakes are applied hard or at full throttle. The front is operated when the car exceds one of three preset speed values. 50, 80 or 120km/h.
I usualy leave it on hard until I come to speed humps or rough roads when I flick it to soft.
The system came on HB 929/Cosmo, Rx-7 series IV and V. Not sure about JC Cosmo. It is one of the keys to my upcomming brake/suspension upgrade

And it also rocks when you have the money to replace your shocks with the proper ones! If it's the same as what was on the Telstars in the 80's it would suck! They were around $400 per corner!

Problem with the Mazda AAS shocks is that they were not made to be repairable. They can be rebuilt but they have to be cut apart and welded back together. That's about $300 per corner :'(

you might just have to try stuff out for yourself, try and have a look into what works for similar suspension setups etc...

you'd need to double check all these out:

Front Control Springs: 80038
Rear Control Springs: 80037
Front Caster Kit: KCA345
Front Tower Brace: KSB606
Rear Tower Brace KSB523
Rear 16mm Sway Bar: BMR1

that oughta help you out a little bit with a package,

and for those that are interested there is a new quick release kit and bar available for the BJ Protege/Astina
this is part number BMF50 for complete
there is a part number somewhere? for the new bolts... these are of the quick release type that you have on bicycles, you un clip, spin and its undone...

spin on, pull the clip down, and its tight!

its a KSB790

also for the 323 BJ
is the front caster kit - (BJ-I only!!) KCA337

no group 4 kit for a 626 at all

from what i can see the parts between a sedan and hatch are interchangable - not a real surprise really

nope, you can't get a kit for our car (BJ)

don't stress - i virtually gave you a kit!!!

you will need to doublecheck the springs - but all in all should be right

also you will notice a lack of struts... i don't have the parts catalogue for that one
