Haha, well i was also told i was very lucky! When some of the other guys on the forum convinced me it was a great buy, honestly i was a little sceptical, but after install it has proved to be quite a different wheel. The leather is such a greater feel, as my other wheel was starting to twist at the top and become very 'flaky'. Its a more oval shape all over, so it sits better in your fingers and since the overall diameter is shorter it makes it feel like a proper sports wheel

Ok so another update!! I was going to wait until the centrecaps and Mazdaspeed stickers arrived, but i couldnt resist posting ...SO heres some photos of what happened roughly 3-4 weeks ago.
For those who noticed, YES they were haighie's old set, however we've resprayed in a slightly darker silver/alloy colour, however they really shine in direct sunlight

New Tread for the 17"s, i was so keen to just get them on!

Fitment Ive now rolled my guards, front and rear so im ready to get some rear coils and dump it!

This was how close i was to touching, before i rolled the guards haha

Used the stripping disk one the spokes to get all the gutter rash off (I was told it 'wasnt' haighie... haha). Then masked off the inside lip, to keep the Polished look

3 finished wheels How good does the inside lip look?!? Thanks for the idea haighie!

Comparison of 15" vs 17"

The finished look... im still awaiting shipment of centrecaps and some Mazdaspeed stickers

A massive thanks goes out to Haighie and Ben Carney, without you two it would've never been done! Always there to help and inform me without any problem

Honestly i would leave it, but since i did a dodgy spray job for my calipers and didnt properly cover/tape everything else up, ive got some red overspray and it doesnt look so good up close Hopefully some centrecaps with Mazdaspeed logo stickers, then some more long Mazdaspeed stickers for the spokes will look good.

So its time again for another update. All thanks to Smurf (Jess) who sold me her old Autoexes, i now have a full set of coilovers So i went over to Haighie's (Andy) and we finally made the car even lower!
Currently ive can still go another 5mm lower in the front and 10mm in the rear, all depends on how much/little i scrape throughout my daily driving and parking.
Again, if there is anyone out there weighing up what to do to their car... suspension mods FTW! It has honestly changed my car from being 'just a 1st car' to a car i enjoy driving daily and looks really neat (my opinion).
So heres some photos from throughout the day, hope you enjoy.

Me being silly, fitting 17"s and 15"s (drag spec lol)

Wait Yellowspeeds... Nope thats only the box haha. The Autoexes are within

Dat wheel gap! Dont worry about the 'Shoe Test' (MCM reference), how about the head test!

4WD Spec? haha

After you lower the front and jack up the rear... this is the result I WISH!!

How its currently sitting. I will hopefully get a better comparison shot soon.

So today i decided to nearly maxx out the coilovers. Ive got roughly 1/2 turn left in the front Autoexes and around 3 turns left in the rear Autoexes. I would say around 5mm-ish lower allround.
Yes due to the driveway the front is compressed a little more and rear hangs a little lower, but one day ill get a good shot!
