Look at the attachment :P http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/250735187...ht_2758wt_1337 Lol it's not autobarn...but it's a wee bit easier than using a drill as a jigsaw... Came the next day haha. And I reckon I had to use my drill to get the wires through the white wire-separator in the door..with that stupid rubber thingy :| So your drill-technique will come in handy for that :P

I stabbed a philips screw driver through the plug to make the holes. Ugly but worked fine. Edit Just bought myself a set of those speaker adaptors as they are way cheaper that Autobarn and they will do better that the cardboard im using now. Last edited by phildough; 11-11-2011 at 08:36 AM. |

Well spend the whole day just to install the 2 door speakers and run the cable inside the car.
I regret i got these massive speaker wires, i reckon its just a waste of money and make the job fkin hard. The cable size is 12mm. to imagine the thickness and there is not enough room to drill in the plugs on the drivers side. on passengers side, it was easy and straight forward.. Tomorrow am gonna run all cables under the carpet hopefully everything should be done by sunday. |

Some updates,
managed to run the cables under the carpet, wired the amp and driver side tweeters/speakers. Tomorow am gonna wire the passenger side tweeters/cross overs.. Connect the rear speakers to the amp/.. Then should be all ready :P Hope tuning it not gonna be hard. am already hearing some weird noise coming off the drivers side tweeters. hopefully they will be gone after i tune the system. |

It could be noise from your head unit. How are u playing ur music? AUX-in ? Or usb-ipod? Or cd?
The reason its going away between tracks is because the rca output is muted when music isnt being played. My old h/u did it. Had a bad ground and was also a piece of junk

Hmm after playing a bit with the amp, they noise has gone
well the headunit is pretty good, its a clarion with 6V preouts.. i regret that i bought normal speakers for the rear.. splits in the front and rear should be better i reckon or i dont know if its only because am loving the splits Going to philip island tomorrow for 3 days, will enjoy the speakers during this 2 hr road trip |

Got my 5x7 adapters in the mail today. Now to fit them
As far as my front splits go I have the top jl audio splits which are the zr 650 from memory. I have had them for a few years now and don't regret spending what I did as I enjoy them everytime I use the car. |
