it's not going to affect it man that's the hole "fully adjustablity" add a little more pretension make the spring a little stiffer and then you can lower your dampening a bit if it's to hard, personally i will have more pretension on my coilovers,. and as that photo shows you've still got a heep to work with looks like the sspring might be wound down a fair bit

Hello Guys,
I have been talking with Damien and have seen the following photos. With all the Mazda BA kits we have sold, we have not had this problem. Yellowspeed did confirm a batch of 5 kits in one transaction they sold in the USA market, the customers did complain about the cars being too low and could not get them up height enough??? Long story short, I have sent off all new design and specs on a new front coil spring. I should have replacement parts arrive to achieve a maximum lowered height of approximately 300mm hub to guard from my calculations arrive with our next pallets. P.S. Yellowspeed since Ryan's (project.r.racing) kit, we requested to have a welded rear swaybar link bracket on the lower clevis and utilises the original rear link. People still can use an adjustable swaybar link if you wish. |

that is weird about the height. mine are 315mm hub to guard on the fronts, and i still have 20mm lower to go.
think they used different length springs? i'm sure my fronts are 62.180.080 from memory. as for the lower bracket? what would be the price of just getting the 2 lower rear brackets. one of my big pet hates of these were those universal link brackets fitted. |

The car never moves.
Only like that because it keep flattening the battery due to a stuffed horn pad on the steering wheel. That aside. Just for giggles heres how she sits in the driveway. Also recieved my shorter stiffer springs, with the remainder of my order including adjustable end links. Unfortunatly the stud on the end links is 1mm larger than the holes on the sway bar and coilover mount points.

Yeah those numbers sound about right for the old springs.
Just need more adjusment in the front. Thats the plan with the shorter springs. Stiffer only because the current setup feels a tad too soft.

Im pretty keen to hold onto my old ones for now until everything is sorted and Im happy but when everything is good ill let you know when I want to pass them on.
With the ID of spring rates I'm pretty sure the last 3 digits on the spring specify the rate.

yeah mate thats correct.
id in mm . length in mm . spring rate in kg so your fronts are doing from a 62mm inturnal diameter with 180mm length in 7kg rate to 62mm inturnal diamter with 150mm length in 8kg rate. |

Originally supplied 7kg front and 4kg rear. Both Matt and Damian asked for a harder spring front and rear of 8kg front and 5kg rear. The front were supplied by yellowspeed and the rear's were paid for wholesale suspension for the delay and inconviences caused, and provided to the guys at no charge |
