[JPN] Mazda Airbag Steering Wheels
Airbag wheels from various Mazdas Most will also fit airbag-equipped BA, but usually needs a small (non-critical) tab cut off the orange horn plug to fit. BigMal has one of the MOMO ones on his BA, so it's a simple swap. MOMO ones generally seem to be selling for around 10000yen. Around $220 landed, based on that sell price.

Are these wheels smaller in diameter than standard wheels?
BTW Dan, got both the seats and I've chopped the brackets off the standard seats and drilled holes in them to fit the MS seats... gonna fit them very soon hopefully! |

That 5000yen one looks in good nick, i'll get a bid placed on that. Container arrived this week, just waiting to clear customs. Might be in it, but as it was bought end of May, it'll be a close run thing.

Maybe a different plug, but otherwise it should be the same as an SP20 one.

different coloured ones are either rx7 or mx5 wheels, still unsure if they fit the sp20 airbag tho...

nope... They all have the the mazda wings emblem in the middle.
Dan / Rupe and I did some hunting (well really me looking thru 46pages or steering wheel, dan gave me the link), found a Nardi Torino Wheel with matching gearknob for something like $580 landed, and that was less the airbag itself!!

A lot of the wheels don't have the Wings logo - more have the Nardi Logo in the middle
This is from a FD RX7, but it's the same basic wheel, just without the color inserts. That design style of wheel (black or colored) is about 20000-40000yen though. Probably 80% of wheels are sold without an airbag though, as they've been pulled from damaged cars - and then they still want 20k for just the wheel! Like this:

Apparently you're not supposed to send them via Auspost, but i've never, ever, had an issue. But shipping them in to the country via container is not a problem. I assume it's due to air travel and the height possibly setting it off? I dunno
