Hey rod, what car is the HU going in?

Have installed the 10" free air sub in the boat this weekend. Have 2 x amps and alpine imprint module to install still.

Painted the side mirror covers on the BJ, cleaned and painted the rust on the bolt holes where the seats bolt to, and replaced the carpet.

Replaced front wipers on the Escape. Turns out same fitment as BA Astina passenger and rear wipers. So used one of the old Escape's front on the Astina's rear. Brought the Astina in 2002 and bever have replaced it. Blade has been torn cracking for years.

Installed a set of ms seats and currently awaiting delivery on a driver's side hub... Stupid thing is welded in there again. Every car I swear... Doing a torsen upgrade on the cheap. ($700 for diff with cracked cradle and a stock diff for $300. Swapped cradle over and I installed - no alignment to be messed with. Hopefully it'll turn in even better.

Update to the saga. Dude brings new hub. I said drivers side. So drives out with the passenger side. So I sent him back to remove and bring back the correct one HAHA. By this time it's almost 11pm. Comes back and installed it and took it for a drive. It works! Yet to experience how it behaves but it's not pissing out oil which is a bonus.

Bought a short shift kit for the 3 and it arrived today so weather willing it'll go in this weekend. Hopefully it's easy enough with the diesel setup.

Got hassled by the police literally 10 minutes after getting a road worthy certificate for the steering wheel. Made funnier they were waiting in the autobarn carpark for someone to rock up in a modified vehicle I guess.

Funny how you get hassled on private property - I bet AutoBarn loves that kind of thing

G560-17-611C and G613-17-308 (superseded G514-17-308 apparently) with a couple of lower bumper bolts and the pilot bearing they came in under $370 but with the open road driving I do it's well worth it.

Wired up a little ignition on relay activated fuse block to power all my gauges.
Looks like this when lights are on:

Bloody wideband gauge, discoverd cat chewed on serial port plugs and now it shows error 8 when powered up. No status light no calibration sequence.

Replaced the back bumper with a better one, replaced the steering wheel with a better one, adjusted the drivers window, flushed the coolant, replaced the interior light globe and gave it a wash, not a bad afternoons work!

Yeah, I've done 30k kms on the yellow one and never been pulled over dispite noisy, low, similar steering wheel, clearly visible white seats and roll bar... Which is refreshing but ironic.
