This is doing my head in
So i browse the NZ auctions every so often
I notice a red BA Hatch amongst the other thumbnails and it looks to have big wheels, so i click on the link. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-165879081.htm I look, and see that they're just 15" hubcaps. So i look at the other pics just out of curiosity... And see that the red BA Hatch has....a Hardtop front grafted onto it The hell? LOL Ok, it's perfectly possible, but the panel join up the A-pillar is different (amongst other little details), so, well, it's different!

ye i read the thread a wile back talking bout doing conversions like this. i never asked this but, whats the difference between the set of guards, i mean in mounting points. because bolt hole locations shouldnt b a problem and neither should b the guard height up the pillar, providing the hardtop guard goes up the pillar higher, it can allways b cut to height and new holes drilled, know-what-i-mean? is there any other differences

How is the A piller join different? Looks to be the same (going off 70nyd's car in readers rides), wouldnt it just be a simple bonnet, guards, bumper & possibly radiator support bar to make it work?
Your getting idea's for the hatch arent you dan

MX6 aftermarket lights, and a lot of massaging.

one thing that is doing my head in isl; someones has bothered to do a whole front end conversion, but yet never got around to lowering it and getting some wheels.
What the hell? Isn't that the first mod most people do, unless he's taken it all out for the sale. Looks alright though, i wouldn't mind the hatch behind on my car.

nah I'd say either way japan or NZ.
Now NZ's will hate me but I'll tell you the truth. NUT JOB's you have some that understand rules regualtions etc, those are the oens who actually ended up working here or UK or US. but most don't see Rules or REGs. the NZ government SOLD THEM ALL. They are trying to buy some back right now LOL I've been over a few times and I tell you it's a laugh. but they have gotten tighter. Limited and make soem of the import laws tighter. The best was this FORD XF i saw. - door was 90% bog - rear quater 50% card board and 40% sticky tape 10% bog. Don't worry about paint either. If you want the land of TIGHT ARSE, it's Kiwi land sure it's help them develop alot of good things. Smart people creatvie - especially back in the day when they had nothing but. Now you get alot who think they know alot but actually forgotten the basics of laws we know as physics and mathmatics etc. Plus all the others who just don't care. |

Would look better with a Lynx Nose
I don't think those are hub caps either - probably a set of 16" alloys from a wrecker. - Nissan something or other....

i recon the hybrid mix looks kind cool! i think the hatch loghts dont really match up on a stockie. it looks to be a bigish shaped car, with tiny little headlights..
maybe (as said above) it will end up being the new sil80! lol
