This sounds like a few posts from recent time. I understand there is an idle sensor, and the idle needs to be adjusted while the clutch is engaged and not engaged. I don't know if adjusting the idle is as simple as turning the screw on the throttle body, since on the BJ you need to short the ground and Pin10 connectors on the Diagnostic port somehow.

I think that is bad advice. How can you diagnose a problem over the internet? What if he went and spent several hundred dollars on a new one and it did nothing for him.

ok thats cool. i'm just saying that i've had the same prob 4 the last 2 months. and i have done every thng to stop it. and i mean everything. i.e. take the holeintake manifold off the clean and replace everything. and all i had to do is replace the throttle body. i just don'e want to see some one spend the same amount of money i did being a first year apprentice. thats all guy's.

yeah id say check all the things listed allready...check o2 sensor..check for air leaks in intake(could be slight cracks in bends), try adjusting ur idle when car is well warmed up..also does ur idle jump around in revs? like say goes up to 1500 then down to almost stall when siting at lights etc?..also last time u changed timing belt if known?

G'day boys,

Yeah, i have the same problem. It will die in between slow and casual gear changes, u-turns (when clutch is in), sitting at lights or when car is idling. Its a pain in the arse, when you go to turn and the revs are dieing, steering goes in and out of power, it makes it damn difficult to turn hahaha. Not good..

I know i have a leak in the intake pipe, it duct taped at the moment! When it had a huge split in it, it used to bunny hope, literately, in all the gear to 5th.. so now i have worn 20k worth of clutch in.. 2-3k of k's.. its also a racing clutch! ah! $$

BTW, how much is a new pipe?

I probably should get it fixed, soon!

Cheers

DAN.
