WTB: [QLD] Rims/mags to fit BA Astina 98
Hiyo,
Searched the forum but couldn't see any activity recently in this area... My tires are about bald and thus need replacing, but i want to get 15" or 17" mags, and getting tires to replace my 14" hubcaps, could be money more wisely spent So! Anyone have any lying around? I don't really mind the size, just as long as they're nice looking, not too scratched and will fit my car. With or without tires is fine...I'll score some bob-jane all-rounders if needed... Not too worried about price, but obviously as a uni student I'm looking for something cheap/practical, not flashy. Cheers, Jim

Take it from me, spend the money on great tyres, it'll save you when some idiot infront of you slams on their brakes. The difference between good and cheap tyres is frightening.

^ indeed!
Even the difference between decent tires and cheap tires is astonishing. The rubber is your only contact with the road, don't get too tight with spending the money.

Have you had a look on the bob Jane website? There's some alright cheap ones on there and I'm sure you could run up a deal on tyres if you get rims as well.

fair enough. Dad reckons the alrounders are awesome...he was a mechanic...but he can be a little biased when it comes to spending money, haha, due to his dutch heritage.
What do people think of this? http://brisbane.gumtree.com.au/c-Car...AdIdZ289032261 Seem's alright...

Got the Bob Jane Xenons on the BA, they're not bad although I've never had to really test them (touch wood) - The ones on it before were rubbish, Simex or something. They were like having ball bearings instead of tyres.

Depends on the stud pattern and tread, but OZ are good stuff.

YOKO C drives are awesome (performance), but the cheapest option for a decent quality tyre is the khumo's for less than AFAIK 125 each from Option1 garage. get them fitted elsewhere and itll be cheaper than they charge too.
