idle will be higher when first start car cause of automatic choke..then drops when gets to temperature..maybe ur idles adjust is set to low..when car is warm and idle drops..then adjust it to where sposed to be..(800-900ish)
to adjust there is a flast head screw on intake manifold..has little black cap covering it. |

First you have to tell the ECU that you want to make adjustments then adjust the screw on the throttle body. Don't touch the screw on the VAF, that changes air/fuel.

it will work but it changes the air/fuel ratios, thats assuming it doesnt reset itself. you gotta connect 10 and gnd in the code thingy (mind blank)

Maybe on the SOHC but everything I have on the BG DOHC agrees with me.
Oh shoes it's GND and TEN not 10 I'm not being pedantic.

Doesn't the ECU learn when you ajust it?? Or ajust it and reset the ecu or something??

adjusting the little screw is like puting your foot down on the accelerator pedal just a little bit cus essentially THATS what it does. i highly doubt that the ECU will adjust itself against pedal movement as that would end up with everyones engines loosing power overtime..
michael0008 just try it its not like ther is anything to loose |

If that worked then your Idle Air Control (IAC) valve is jammed.

Actualy I'm not 100% correct.
If you pull the throttle on then the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) won't tell the ECU that the engine should be at idle and the IAC won't be engaged. If the IAC isn't..... Meh... You aren't listning anyway.
