Steering wheel for BJ Astina

Hey guys, first of all love the site. This is my first post but I've been checking this site out for some time now.

Right....just wondering does anyone know if a steering wheel can be changed or modified in appearance wise in a BJ astina. Don't really want to stuff around with the SRS system but just want something to dress it up a bit.

Does anyone know of anyone that can do this in Brisbane???
Look forward to the feedback, cheers guys

but wouldn't a wrecked sp20's steering wheel be useless as the air bags would have blown?

so i don't think u can get a 2ndhand steering wheel

and putting a non airbag steering wheel to one which has one as stock is illigal.

you'd be amazed how often they don't go off when the car is still a write off. Side impacts especially. Not talking about the sp20, but just many other accidents I attended with the cfa.

yup, coz it needed to hit lower

thats what my bonnet looked like after i went up the back of a jeep
no airbag deployment the sensor is in the arch, just behind and underneath the headlight....

there is also another one on or near the engine, jsut incase you go into a pole/bike i guess

Yeah, didn't feel too bad when I hit, didn't hurt my arms or neck. But here is a better pic of the damage, you can see the headlight follows the line of the bonnet, but the bumper sprang back out. It pushed the radiator back and gave me problems with the idle due to damage to the air intake.

that is damage from a 4wd, or a truck!!!

i find it strange that it was due to the intake, i would have thought it would be more likely that it pushed your airconditioning thing, which stuffed my car big time

Actually I ran up the back of a Magna while we were both braking hard, so I sort of went underneith more than into if you could imagine, still mangled my number plate which still sits pretty low.
Might consider lowering someday, don't like having to get all new shocks and springs at the moment to force a firmer ride for cosmetic reasons...
Here's a better pic of the car as it is today without sitting up a steep driveway leaning on the back wheels. At a guess it would be 35mm higher than Nates car at most. I's a big one, so it drops when I'm in there in any case! ops:
