pedders springs-opinions

Does anyone have opinions on Pedders lowered springs for a BA?

My BA has them fitted ...nice stance and very firm, but lack any finesse. Meaning that I've had hard springs before, but they still managed to have a good ride as well..The Pedders currently fitted are very choppy..

I vote for shocks being the issue as well.
My ol' hardtop had king/koni setup and was both firm and comfortable.

Well I'll first get rid of the clonks..then review the shock spring match..just installed new Selby shocks..mahy have been a false economy...maybe they work best with standard springs. road holding amazing just a very crude ride right now
now..

sounds like pedders.

I never liked them in a mates SSS even when Installed new struts. Put a pair of K-macs in the front. they were actually lower by 10-15mm and rode better then the pedders.

Never been impressed with them. Use to think great in Commy but then I put in some lovells in a VR - oh my god it was like HSV with Calais ride.

I find them choppy in Sydney. Either too stiff or just minimal comfort area. Even King springs don't have that feel in them.

i had pedders springs at one stage in my BA V6 with KYB shocks, it was okay, humpy but what i hated most of all was the rear springs kept on coming loose and made noise and i had to lift the car up to put them back in there groove. (they weren't captive in the shock, had so much troubles with them, and they offered me other rear springs but ended up on being about half a inch from stock lowered.

I returned them and got back my other springs that weren't captive and put up with them. They had a very good look to them once lowered but wont recommend them at all !

Well Ive bitten the bullet and bought some lowered kings.. Seriously the pedders stance looks amazing, an not sure if the kings will be as low, but I on't care as the pedders shake an bounce too much..I will keep them if I was to build a rat/rough version V6. Hope to hell the Kings will have some suppleness. The ad. says they are 3-3.5cm low..

Can anyone tell me what the standard ground to floor-pan height is for a V6..

the kings lowers about 25cm from stock. kings are super soft just like stock. they aint a performance spring. they are solely for looks.

That's good to know actually... but any lowering would help lower center gravity so some if not a great handling benefit there. Unfortunately most streets aren't racetrack smooth.
