Bake them in the oven, 10-20 minutes at 80-100 degrees. I'd err on the side of cooler for longer personally. Pry them open and simply reseal. Mine are glass so double check the temp isn't melting the plastic...or I'll be shot I guess!

Wow that's weird dude!
If it's on the inside then cracking them open is your best bet. However, don't touch any other part of the light. You will never get the skin oils out of it!! Make sure the inside of the glass is completely dry and free of all marks before you reseal otherwise it will bug you forever! If it's on the outside: Use damp wet and dry to scratch up the lights. This will get rid of all the gunk on the surface. Use Scratch-X and a soft cloth. Should fill in the scratches a bit. Wipe dry. Use Plast-X and a soft cloth (both products from Supercheap). This polishes up the plastic nicely. Wipe dry. I've done this on 4-5 cars now and it works a treat. I wrote a DIY for it on Subyclub if you have access to it.

Installed my front lip today. It's just a cheap universal one, but i like it! The bottom of it will eventually smooth out. That's just from how it was shipped.
Before (Notice the change in dirt... I washed my car before putting it on hehe) After: Thoughts? Last edited by Ben; 02-06-2012 at 09:09 PM. |

Just be careful, I think it's rubber door seal stuff so might shrink with the heat and get wavier... The top bit looks good because it's flat, should look great when it all evens out

Once step ahead of you Ryan! Already done it! I dunno what it's made out of.. It's like a rubber door seal except more plastic-y yet really thick. Attached it with about 20 screws and washers... So i don't see it falling off anytime soon!
