Hi all replacing stock BP with later model BP in a BG Astina
Hi everyone, fairly new here..
I have a BG astina with the BP 1.8 in it. It is a bit tired (leaking oil everywhere and blowing some smoke) I am thinking of replacing the engine. I don't wanna turbo it. I have found a later model BP out of a 97 (ish) astina with low kms in great condition. Will this fit without too much hassle? Obviously I would need to use my manifolds etc.. but the engine is the same underneath all that right? Any help appreciated |

correct, only swap block and the head.
the rocker cover and timing belt covers are different. your choice whether you swap them or not. the dissy and a/c + p/s pulley will need to be swapped for the 89-94 stuff. ryan |
