Hi all replacing stock BP with later model BP in a BG Astina

Hi everyone, fairly new here..

I have a BG astina with the BP 1.8 in it. It is a bit tired (leaking oil everywhere and blowing some smoke) I am thinking of replacing the engine. I don't wanna turbo it. I have found a later model BP out of a 97 (ish) astina with low kms in great condition. Will this fit without too much hassle? Obviously I would need to use my manifolds etc.. but the engine is the same underneath all that right?

Any help appreciated

correct, only swap block and the head.

the rocker cover and timing belt covers are different. your choice whether you swap them or not.

the dissy and a/c + p/s pulley will need to be swapped for the 89-94 stuff.
