I think that the Perma-cool piece is the thing that attaches to the block in place of the oil filter.

I would guess that the blue thing is either a oil pressure control valve or a thermo switch to only let the oil go to the cooler once it is hot enough.

Let me know. Cheers.

The Blue alloy plate with the 2 fittings in it is the plate that bolts to the block and replaces the factory oil filter mount.

The Perma-Cool item is a thermostatic valve to control the temps of the oil...

so yeah, your right on the money...

cant wait till I get that babie in...

ATM Im gonna relocate my overflow and my washer bottle under the bumper with some PWR items....just gotta scrounge up the $$$

See not a drift pig like everyone thinks....lol....still swings sideways when its persuaded though...

Still reckon I need a bigger front swaybar, and a touch looser on the front dampers...

Planning on doing the clutch soon and picked this up cheap...

SR20DET Flywheel: 9.2kg

Nismo Lightened Flywheel: 4.6kg

All in good nick, no run-out, just needs a machine.

I have absolutely no idea mate...

Either an Exedy HD Organic/ Ceramic or an NPC clutch of some description.
Might look at a Jim Berry, heard some good things about them as well..

With the lighter mass the engine can rotate faster and slow down a lot quicker = boost quicker, decelerate for corners quicker as well.

With a slight loss in torque...due to the less rotating mass...with the turbo on there though...Id don't care much.

OK, they are all pretty good, i prefer the ceramic puck clutches.
just as long as you don't get a ceramic brass button clutch...
that is what my brother has in his 180 (that is what he bought the car with)
and they are verry noisy, extremely heavy, they are just too vicious and are only good for a track car.
i have also heard some good things about NPC also

Got some more stuff done on the 180.

Finally mounted the Oil Cooler Core and the lines as well as the Filter Relo Block.

While I was under the car this turned up.

Ive also finally finished and got my FMIC piping engineered...

So yesterday I decide to give my car a good ol service and check over before the skidpan day next weekend...

+ I wanted to throw the Partitioned Sump in...what better time to do it....

again with the dodgy phone pics..Meh....lol

This thing is pretty big, took a full 5L of RP, wont be as much next time...but with the oil cooler nearing completion...who knows...lol

Also tightened that dam handbrake, I may need a new brake cable but I dont want to spend the $$$ when Im going the R33 brake upgrade, Replaced all the fuel lines/ worm drive clamps to and from the tank, fuel filter etc, Gave the brakes a good bleed, changed the plugs...etc etc...the 180 has just hit 90K..Yay....

Im really thinkin of getting rid of the clutch fan and getting 12" thermos but I need to get my boot fixed up and my gauges in asap...

EDIT: Also, A big thanks to my Bro In Law, Dave, who made it a very clean day, compared to if he wasn't there...
