at it again....

Well i recently ripped out my a/c......and well now their a rather large hole there now and this got me thinking (ouch). Will my supercharger fit there this time....Can anyone step up with input to these questions....

1. Do u need aftermarket engine management to cope or will it adjust (Im talking low boost) - Dude said no at performance place i was a bit iffy..

2. Whats mod plateable these days...s/c pass the test...?

3. Bp engine in its stock form(apart from porting and cams) can handle it?

4. Will the supercharger run off the belt the a/c ran off...?

All u punks have turdbros....i want something unique

Any form of input would be appreciated.... (*cough* mal)

If the computer is designed for a N/A car, and not boosted the ECU will need to be changed or fooled! + various other sensors and injectors + pressure reg!

White Pony,
I would be looking at the MX5's that are blown for all my
ideas and answers as blower kits for them are done all the time.
1. Where is the factory position of the blower on a Toyota motor ??
Isn't the blower mounted just as close to the extractors on a
4AGZE or an MX5 BP with blower without much problems with
heat saturation from the extractors. Wouldn't some thermal wrapping
fix that problem anyway.
2. Engine management... again review kits for the MX5 and how they
achieve 5-7psi. You can get boost sensitive FPR's that will only start
adding the extra fuel on boost to add extra fuel for the blower. I hate
Microtech's on street cars way to crude a device for daily driving any
tuner will tell you it is hard to tune them to pass emissions.

Find a performance shop that does MX5's or ask the QLD MX5 club who
does their work for blower conversions and then you will to talking to
someone who plays with BP motors all the time what can and cant be
achieved.

Regards

Mal
