Hey guys, didnt know where to put this but meh, seems a good place...I was just wondering what the "hold" function attached to the gear stick on the BA auto astina actually does? Never seems to change anything

its used for going down mountain roads, its keeps the gears into 2nd gear...best bet is to read the manual to see how it works and what it actually does...

AFAIK it down shifts your gear or "hold" it, depending on what gear you are in.

If you are in "D" and already in 4th, pressing it should bring you down to 3rd but when you are only in 3rd, it will keep you there. Same thing for S and L, it will downshift or limit you to the lower gear, depending in what gear you are in. But from what i remember, you should only use it at a max speed of 70KPH since some people use this to gain torque when overtaking.

Lastly, "hold" should always be off and turn on when needed, since some people confuse this with "overdrive" which is the opposite. Hope that makes sense.
