GB: Bumper Sag Fix brackets

Hey guys,

There is a current GB happening in the States (on M247.com) for some brackets that will help fix sagging of the front bumper.

Here is the original thread:
http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showt...Bumper-Sag-Fix

Here is the group buy thread:
http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showt...Bumper-Sag-Fix

You guys should read both before asking any questions here. The best thing to do would be to sign up there and ask but I will try to help out where I can.

They are US$40 each and shipping the lot over here will be about US$10-15 and then it will be about $5 to send them from Brisbane to other parts of Australia. So all up it will be within a few dollars of $50 total for each set. Final price will be determined as soon as the GB ends.

I am looking to get around a group of 5 or so people but it can be less, or much more. I will be placing an order next Friday night, so the list will be finalised at 5pm Friday 4th March. Payment will be due one week after, Friday 11th March.

List:
- Orion Recieved
- Marcs_sp20 Recieved
- phunkdust Recieved
- FpR SP20 Paid
- trent188 Recieved
- Justin-SP20 Recieved

...forgive my ignorance, but don't the headlight clips do the same job?

Yeah but they break easily, and if you want to take your bumper off to work on something... well you'd better have some spare clips!

Not something you'd see often on the slowtege, but for the SP20 guys the front bumper is a lot heavier... and well I don't know about the other guys but I often scrape the rock guard on driveways because I am a **** driver

And once it sags it rattles like a mofo, can't imagine how bad it sounds on the guys with stiffer engine mounts.

The headlight clips are not really a "structural" component of the bumper mounting system. They really just hold the top corner of the bumper up against the headlight nicely.

These brackets provided a strength to the connection between the bumper and the fender, which is a more significant join for holding the bumper on.

I see Trent188 has already signed up for this out on his own as well.

I will contact him and see if he wants to be included in this group of if he is still happy to go out on his own.

One week guys

You get use to the rattles with 70 duro AWR mounts, Darryl would say the same

YES! I was going to attempt to make something along these lines as my bumper mounting tabs are cracked and I've obsessed over that gap ever since I acquired the car. Please count me in, I've PM'd you Orion.

Wednesday bump

About 50 hours to go before I close this off

This will be sent in small padded Australia Post bags at the cheapest (i.e. slowest) rate. Let me know if you will need them faster that.

Still no word on when they will be made in the States

Cheers

This is wrapped up guys

I'm shooting off a PM to the US guy who is running this and getting some final prices.

Then I just need to figure out what the postage cost to the non-Queenslanders will be - won't be much.

Expect PM's with all the details in the next few days

Cheers

Hey guys,

I've finally gotten in contact with n2ka over in States about the order, so that is some progress

We are currently looking at the shipping costs, and what is the best way to go.

I will keep everyone updated on how it goes. Word around is that they are about to go into production, so hopefully there will not be a long delay in getting. I should hope not because they are stopping my headlight install

Cheers.

All systems go!

Woot!

Shipping has been sorted out and I have sent a PayPal payment for the Bumper Sag Fix kits.

I will be PM'ing all with payment details this afternoon

Basically, they will arrive in Brisbane for $45 each (pickup price). Marc and FpR SP20, I'm assuming you will collect yours at the next Coffee Meet (hint hint)

Phunkdust I will just add $5 to yours for the postage to Melbs.

Trent188, I will also be in touch with you about a small refund because you had already sent some money to n2ka.

Cheers

Everyone has paid up!

Woot!

EDIT:

Brackets have been made up and n2ka has collected them!

He will be shipping them out this week and next week. So add a couple of weeks for shipping across from the US.

I will keep everyone updated
