Redline - Drop in and see me at the front desk sometime and I can show you what we sell (car audio gear/navigation/mobile communication) the company name is AudioXtra.
derb - my head lights have ^ on them so it looks like a smily face when the lights are up... it was done with black PVC tape, affectionately known by me and the sparky fellas of Star Electrical as rape tape. Anyone wanna confirm that my car is an actual BG Astina? Fairly sure it is, just need a pro's official seal of approval |

Well if derb's display photo is anything to go by, then mine is exactly the same, just the SP model instaed of GT-X.
Is the suspension setup the same on both or is the GT-X model fitted with different strut tops? (as in 3 bolt rear tops for coil overs?) Cheers homies |

The GT-X was never an official model, I have the Familia GT-X motor, so I put the GT-X badging on the rear and call it an Astina GT-X. Mine is actually a non-SP, so no power goodies or sunroof for me.

Ah I thought you might have done something like that. Looks factory though, so thumbs up for you!
My question still stands though, does the 1989 GT-X Coilovers mate up with my strut towers on both ends, or do I need to get them from a different model? |

Suspension in the BG Familia GT-X, GT-R and sedans is all the same. BG Astinas have a different front strut top bolt pattern. But if you want coilovers for a BG Astina, BC Racing make 2x types to choose from and JustJap do free shipping on them.

I think you mean Domo-Kun yes?
He fell off on the way to Auburn, at which point I cried deeply and punched a tree. |

Nice photo! Where was this taken?
Also, are you still running the stock shocks with the lowered springs?

A spot near me in Pt Adelaide that's my little secret for now :P
Yeah just the Lovells at the moment. Not gonna waste time on shocks and skip straight to coilovers by the end of the year. New bushes all round are on the cars though, get that cornering stiffer than Ash stealing a glance at Misty's ass!! (Such a nerd) |

Does anyone have a gearbox specialist they would reccomend?
Im really sick of how sloppy this second hand box is compared to the one that got destroyed from towing from Adelaide to Sydney and back... All the gears are loose while in gear, and it crunches (no noise, just feeling) when going into gears. Will most likely get work done when I get a new clutch (also shattered that when the box blew) coz this one is a second hand one that was 'still in good condition' according to the Mazda wreckers on Grand Junction Rd. Really not happy with their service and business style overall. Just felt uber shady... |
