SP20-Bumpstops.
I went and got a quote for Kingsprings, the guy said he wouldnt be able to lower my car any more that 30mm, due to the fact that it will be constantly resting on the bumpstops. He said thats how cars loose control. Also modifing bump stops might f.up warranty.
What should I do, its looks so good lowered, but i want it to be a pro job & safe. Any opinions would be great, thanking you in advance Marty. btw iv still got the stock 16" rims, What did you do Zed? |

The option is yours,
1. Drop it 30mm with the Kings, the spring rate is increased as well as the drop. I did it with my BA and I'm a happy camper. 2. Drop it the 50mm and suffer the bangs when they bottom out, ouch I don't recommend that solution. 3. Go down 50mm, adjust the length of the bump stops and loose the warranty. 4. Go the 30mm option untill the warranty is over and then go 50mm and sell the 30mm springs??? For my 2cents I'd pick option 4

Mine's lowered about 35mm all round on standard King lowering springs. Looks and handles a heap better even on stock rims.
You've seen the pics of my car from the Newcastle cruise so that's pretty much what you can expect. Definitely worth it.

Bumb stops are the big black rubber sleaves that fit onto the shock piston, most often they have the dust boot molded onto them. The tops get cut down to shorten them, you probably wouldn't know if it was done and is so simple anyone would need to be embarased to charge you money for it.

nah, you wont get clunking from bump stops - they only really come into play when your suspension is fully compressed
