could be the race finn style of wheel. for the extra $$ you may as well go some nice 16" puppies!

theyll be a good compromise between comfort and looks

They shouldn't be too hard to find.. try heading off to a few places that sell alloy wheels and pic up as many brochures as you can.. I agree with Mike with the 16" over 15" [even though i've got 15's].. They will look a bit better in the guards of a BA or they should look great in the BG..

Have fun!

i'm pretty sure most people sell them, like bob janes, sell them as an auscar alloy wheel...

i think its called hornet?? (as in the aircraft)

anyway, if you mosey into a bob jane t-mart, you can play with their computer there, and "fit" different rims to the car, and view them there and then...

yeah they are pretty common those ones. i carded a BA on friday night with that style in 17". there are pleanty of options togo for. all depends on your budget and what kind of wheels you like. the 'bling bling' factor doesnt really sit well with the BG so i reckon some nice silver colored wheels could be the go.

cheers mike

Yeah I agree, some cast or basic machine finish alloys, nice and simple, would probably look best..

Thanks for the replies fellas, will get down to the local wheel & tyre shop and check them out.. BTW have never bought wheels for a small car, what sort of prices do you pay?

depends on that you want. your run of the mill 16" alloy can cost anywhere from $180-300 each. for $350 + your looking at some nice italian sets which (while costing a packet) usually are more hardwearing than your ANZ and BSA type wheels.

for ANZ's and BSA's i reccomend you check out a cantebury tyre and mag or the tyre factory as %95 of stuff they carry is in this kind of bracket.

for anything better (highly reccomend you go this option) have a look at 'the wheel king' in moorabin as they have some nice stuff (my rims in 16" too) lol

havent been to a donnellans yet does anyone know what kind of floorstock they have??

cheers mike

Best to actually talk to these places 1 to 1, I attempted to get the same wheels a few years ago and while they were on the www and in the brochures they were not avaiable in my price bracket. They WILL give you answers, while we can only advise you on where to try and ballpark prices...

yeah i saw those mak stings on a VT ute about 4 months ago. pretty dam nice

lol but i still cant get over one salesman telling me that HR racing and advanti make better quality wheels than MOMO and MAK

his argument 'italian wheels are suited to italian roads', 'taiwanease wheels are suited to australian roads' rofl i asked him what country australian made wheels are best suited too and he just looked at me much the same way as i looked at him

cheers mike

thats a corker!!!

hmm i wonder what sort of road an american rim would suit....

i thought that argument, was actually to do with tyres (eg most Peugeots come with V spec Pirellis... that shred within a year!!!)
