Stabilze Rearview Mirror

Wonder if anyone else has encountered this issue.

When traveling at either a bit of pace or on a road surface that isn't all to wonderful my rearview mirror vibrates so much that I really can't see anything in it. But just using a single finger to stabilize it and it is fine.

Any suggestions apart from the obvious tightening it, I have looked and it is very secure.

I've seen bits of rubber tube (i think) placed between the mirror arm and the windscreen, to absorb vibration. Thats how they did it back in the days

The BA should have a bit of rubber between the mirror and glass - that's what the little bump of the back of the mirror is for (to locate it).

I have this too, does anyone have a pic of how it should be?
