To the best of my (limited) knowledge, that is correct. When we were buying the beast, I was reading the articles the dealer had up on the walls, and it mentioned the new RX8 and how it was replacing the RX7 totally. They WERE supposed to bringing out a couple of version of the RX8 (eg one with only 2 seats, one with 5 etc).[/color
