my 55W australian bought ones are actually alot bluer than the cheaper chinese ones i got later. and the bulbs havent started flickering like the 35W ones have either... all round better i guess (still cheap chinese made though).
i cant comment on the actual brightness difference as i have not put them side by side in the same beam (high/low) as they use different bulbs. but the 55W are seriously bright, and id guess at 30-40% more in my case. my 55W 3000K fogs arent that bright (more like a 35W setup) and i think thats due to the chinese getting cheap and just putting any label on the same ballasts etc.
