Have a look if it is rubbing against the plastic timing belt covers. These tend to warp a bit with age and can come into contact with the water pump belt. Also check if there are bits of gravel stuck on the inside of the water pump belt. You can usually see a hump on the outside of the belt where the rock has been squeezed through by the pulleys.
Failing that it could be your water pump bearing saying ccchhhhange meeee ccchhhange mmmeeee!
