um... since when do you go down the gears at the lights??? try selecting a foward geat next time and you might have more success...

and i think you'll find in my previous post the i don't even use the clutch upshifting, so a. get with the program, b. get a clue, and c. try going up the gears next time....

you say double clutching saves wear and tear yet not using a clutch at all is compeltely all rightfor the car . haha bs

the civic has a dogbox, but you probably haven't got a clue wot that is anyway, and secondly, we were talking about *downshifting*, not something most people do from the lights.... so once again, get a clue....

gotcha, thanks for the explanation, i knew what i was doing wasnt the correct way and i thought it would be putting extra strain on the synchros, diddnt think of the speeding up/slowing down of the two halves either...thanks.

haha nah, no idea what a dog box is at all, haha my mates has a dog box in his rs liberty so yeh no idea what a dogbox is at all.

no need for double clutching in new cars , its just a waste of time.

get a 323 mate or pissoff . im not interested in hearing some nuffy rant on, on a forum which is focused on 323's which you have never owned.

we are not just a community that just own 323s...alot of people on here own cars far from 323s...learn to respect people or you my friend can go!

the principles in shifting in any car is all the same...only things that are different is the cars themselves... listen to someone with the knowledge and take it in...

bourne boy races rally cars, so im sure he knows what hes talkin about...
