C clip

So I got my need CV joint in the post today.

I got the joint, inner and outer loops, boot, grease and a little C clip. Is it the clip to hold the axle into place?

I can't think of any others, if you give me dimensions i'll go downstairs and compare it to the axles sitting on the floor

In BA's, there's a small c-clip on the outboard end of the axle. The clip locates the CV inner race on the axle.

Interesting that you got a new clip. I've done 2 outer joints now on a BA and neither kit had a new clip included. Fortunately wasn't needed as I was able to reuse the old ones. Actually I found that it's important to get that c-clip sitting as tightly as possible in the axle groove as it makes it much easier to fit the new joint.
