Pulsating brakes

Does any one know why my brakes pulsate when i push the brake pedal at speeds of over 50km/h. The whole car starts to shudder at speeds over 80 when i brake, even if its over a long distance...

Sounds like your discs are warped. You can get them machined flat again, or you might have to replace them.

getting them machined round bout 50 per disc, replacing depends on wat u go for, personally if i was replacing i would go DBA slotted rotors which from memory round the 130 a pair markl....thats for a BG astina by the way

should only be $20 - $25 dollars max each disc an only takes an hour to do all four, but i would also fit new pads aswell they can be $85 plus a set depending on brand an quality

Might be worth your while checking out that the disc is sitting flat against the Hub Face before you go spending too much money - if the pads are new it's possible the disc has cocked sideways a little and may not be running true...

You can check this by taking the wheel and disc off and tidying up the front face of the hub and the back face of the disc with a wire brush.

At a guess I would say they'll need machining/replacing but it's worth checking IMHO.

Thanks for the help guys. I've just made an appointment at a local mechanic who told me exactly the same thing as u guys. It is going in on friday at 8am and should be all done by 10 at the latest. Cost is 125$ but it includes some other bonus **** and i get a discount there when i pay due to other stuff so it should get reduced to 80$ for the car.. Thanks for the help
