Hey all,
Thought I would post up some pics of my new stainless cat.
According to Zoom magazine flows 750cfm against 450-534cfm
for other hi-flow cats. Is 4" will be reduced to suit my 3" exhaust.
Hoping for good performance out of this baby.

Regards

Mal

750cfm?? damn!!!!

however i notice it has a very different design to most cats (the honeycomb that is). maybe that's the key?

I have eyed those off before
What did they sting you for that little beauty?
Now I wonder if it will be hindered by a 2 1/2" exhaust

weather its s/s or mild the note will be the same its the mufflers that alter the sound my mate fitted a straight through copper pipe once on a torana boy was it loud an didnt it back fire coming down hills
as for dollars value go mild with sports muffler nice chrome tip i guarrentee you sell the car before it wears out you should be able to get a cat back 2" pipe sports muffler an tip for 220 - 250 fitted
that looks like a super cat mal hope you get out off it what ur lookin for

I got it off ebay for $225 Magic want $300 for them. After repeated looks I
dont think its stainless I think its mild but eh as long as it flows well.
Saving for a nice Garett GT28 BB Turbo to keep it occupied.
I also break the mould with not selling the car before the exhaust needs
changing have had 4 behind my Astina. Stock then a 2" dual outlet muffler,
then a 3" dual outlet mild steel which died of old age and was replaced
couple of months ago with a new 3" dual stainless one with dual 3" outlets
to the tips which will look wild when all polished up.

I am after the 2860RS known as the Disco Potato price so far is $1450. I have
another mate trying to get me a "real mates rate" one through a source but
the chances there are low so by all means let me know the best price you can get.

best price i've seen for a Disco was on nissansilvia.com (traders) - $1250 delivered.
but that offer finished a while ago...but it gives you an idea of cost

if u coat mild steel will it last longer? ive been to a couple of exhaust shops and quotes have been from about $350 for mild steel 2.25" and tip to $800 for stainless. i cant imagine there being a big difference in weight so maybe it isnt worth the extra.
