yeah Gav, I suppose I havn't really launched the MX5 or even hit it hard off the mark at all. I wanna keep the clutch/gearbox in good nick. Woosey I know

You gotta remember the GT had the stock little turbo & a puck clutch so, the lag wasn't reall there. Maybe that's it?

That's fine. They make good tourers as well as go carts.

Let's just say when you've got some NA mods that dabbing the throttle can be like using the steering wheel. I'm not au fey with RWD techniques though...

indeed, get a good clutch, get some koni yellows with adjustable perches, some breathing mods and lose the performance killing 12kg per corner rotating mirrors and you'll be singing a different tune when it comes to lightweight balance na cars.

guys, I've settled for NaughtyGT Forum name (cause' I'm a hopeless Chameleon) no seriously, as I will be doing up naughty again from early Jan. The MX5 I'm keeping pretty stock for now. The 323 will get the performance gear etc as it's put back together & benefit some here hopefully so, hence the name back

Cheers!

Just read a good article that states that the B6ZE engine in the MX5's were just B6T's with higher compression. If that's the case, no wonder people turbo them stock in the US with no probs

This means they do have the same rods! Yeehar!

Just dropped the chrome wheels off to be have tyres stripped. There being taken round to be sandblasted & powder coated a nice Satin Black after that. Will be ready before Chrissie. The rollbar will be dropped off after Chrissie to be matched! Good.....no more chrome!!!!!!!

Be a nice track-like colour scheme. Here's a pic of a blue one in the US where I got the idea. These wheels are only painted though & the owner is contemplating doing the wheels in a smokey grey colour I think

bloody yanks...........they stole my idea for the New Year. Bugger! Oh well, @ least I can see how it will look I suppose? I'll be putting stripping on the MX5 as in this one so it will match the satin wheels & rollbar

Here's a pic of the white & British green rear:

Here's the Mixy with powder-coated wheels I got back today Pics aren't that crash hot....car not washed.....but better than the chrome I think? Rollbar is getting dome the same after Chrissie

I have to do the centre caps yet. I'll just spray them

cause' not $50 a wheel. That included sandblasting chrome which even with straight alloy, is a bigger/harder prep job to do than painted steel rims. If you had steel rims, $40 a wheel.

Also got front wheels on-car balanced too as these cars are sensitive as a backward-stroked cat . They feel every bump/dip on road

are these legal? or @ least do they work? (indicators indicating?) I have a set of clear lenses for the 323 front bar but was reluctant to use them in case they were'nt detected?
