I'm haveing the same problem as Anton but my cars completly stock SOHC....so if anyone could suggest anything it would be good....its seems to happen to my car only when ive been driving for about 30 min...it also revs unevenly as somtimes sitting at lights it will raise the revs to about 2000 htne drop to 1500 then back to normal idol.....would this have anything to do with the choke as that seems to be the range it works in when the car is cold?

well i took it back to the tuning guy and he had it for a week to see if he could sort this problem out.. well he thought he had fixed it by puting a pull down resistor in the ignition wiring but it still did one surge on the way home, so there is still no fix to the problem. I asked if he thought it could be a dodgy fuel pump but he was sue it wasnt. I also asked if i needed an aftermarket fuel regulator but he was also convinced it wasnt anything like that. so now im here again back were i started with the same problem.. im thinking i might just have to put up with this problem.

When in doubt you should go back to basics and return anything modified back to stock, reset the ECU and after a little read the engine error codes if any.

Hey man look like i found the problem...the mechanic checked the error codes and found the coolent temp sensor and oxygen sensor are faulty....that looks like the problem the oxygen sensor is going beserc and telling the engin its running lean so it increase the full....but its fine so its flooding the engine hence the surge its to much fuel.....the new sensor goes in sat so if it works ill let u now but it looks like that is wat is wrong.
