Another Newbie
Hey all,
My name is Jared, & in the lead up to buying my BA series 2 V6 I seemed to keep finding this website for information, so I thought I should become a member. My family has been through a few Mazda's & when it came time to replace my ageing daily, in the end there was only one choice. Other comparable vehicles were simply over priced & IMO not as good a car. I've picked myself up a - colour blind mans - Noble Green example with only 138,000km on the clock & 1 owner. The car needs a little bit of work, but only minor details. Rocker cover gaskets are being replaced now, which is it's most major issue. I am generally the DIY kind & will be no different with this car. I have a lot of experience with EFI systems as they were my bread & butter for 2 years of my life & I saw many a Mazda ECU & Distributor in that time! I hope that I can contribute to this forum as much as I take from it & prehaps make a few friends on the way. Cheers Jared |

Nice, good buy by the sound of it! Welcome here
i agree with you on the colour, but 'noble green' can look real nice when its well cared for/polished at least...

Thanks people's.
Yes it does need a bit of polish & it is a nice colour (if a bit common, but hey I can't complain). Got the rear bar & roof re-cleared before I picked it up, a couple of small dents to have pulled out & a bit of paint on the bonnet is all it needs to be looking shmick . A bit of work to do in the coming months, but is all minor details in comparison to most I've seen. Biggest problem I have is it's not running 100% when cold at the moment, gets a bit hesitant. I believe it's going to be plug leads as the service records never show them being done. So I'll be doing that & cap + rotor next. Time to do some research |

only only limited km on it, there will be no reason to replace the cap and rotor.
