Back from roadworthy today. They sent front disks not rear and he had problems removing the drive shaft from the front knuckle so it took longer (and cost more, meh).
I've booked in to Vicroads for rego on Tuesday. So no sneeky mods over the weekend.

Rupewrecht put me onto a GT-X engine loom a few weeks ago, Thanks, and I've spent the weekend finding out what everything is and where it goes which is all good fun.
I dropped into the local pic-a-part wreckers and found a BG AFM so I can line things up as well as a few odds and ends that were missing.
I took the opportunity to take some pics of where things go as the BG stuff won't bolt directly to the BA.

I found the turbo and ECU on Yahoo Japan at about the same Rupewrecht did. I was lucky, the turbo has no end play.
Rupewrecht found the engine loom on ebay aust and passed on the tip.
The local wreckers had some of the missing electronics and I've come across the mechanical and electrical diagrams to help put it all together.
I'm currently considering what I need in an engine as the GTX and GTR are getting a bit long in the tooth.

Iam thinking putting a low boost through my standard motor or a rebuild using low comp pistons just dont know if standard rods would hold boost ,Similar set up to spmx5 mazda motorsport did , was going to use a turbo off a cx7 and get it rebuilt with a custom manifold and a piggy back computer on it

Re-wired the passengers front door with JDM loom and fitted a JDM swing fold mirror. I needed to swap over the painted cover so after two to three hours work I've added a few grams extra weight and no functionality.

Started my 5-stud conversion today.
Rears only for now, fronts in a few months.

The two hubs, the caliper is same for each so I kept the originals to make life easier.

Thanks, and yep 16" MS-01S. I bought a set of three of them through Rupe almost three years ago and only got the fourth in July (the fourth needs some TLC).
I bought the rear hubs to keep occupied over the Christmas break but it only took me a morning so I may just have to do the front now however to do that I have to swap calipers and bleed brakes.

Just got my 5th MS-01s yesterday.
The first three were practicly new, never been on a car. I had a look at the new rim tonight and it's never been on a car so basicly four perfectly round forged alloy high quality MS rims for about $500-$600... plus one used for $150ish.
My plan over Easter is to get the V6 hubs on the front with the new lower ball joints. I probably should have put tyres on the rims first but meh, what are you gonna do?

Went out and bought tie rod ends this morning. One side done and all but tie rod undone on other side.

Oh yeah, once I bought the tie rod ends I brought them home to fit onto the Astina

Replaced the two wheel studs onto the drivers side front knuckle after finding they had the wrong thread pitch. Also bled the final brake.

Yesterday I picked up the front wheels that have been straightened and re-finished. Just have to put tires on them before alignment.

Took the 'stina out to Eltham this morning.
Now with matching wheels and tyres, all pannels the same colour and the engine almost completely re-assembled.

Sorry 'bout the dodgy phone pic

The engine was running well when I picked it up but a while back it lost a lot of power. I got around to checking the spark plugs and error codes yesterday. Good news no error codes and two of the plugs had a nice chocolate brown colouring to the ceramic surrounding the electrode the other two where white as if new, a little black around the electrode so plenty of spark.
I pulled the injectors today and hope to have them cleaned and back in next weekend.
