rear bumper

Can anyone help me, i was trying to take off my rear bumper and couldn't do it?
am i missing some bolts or what?
any help will do...BA astina Hatch

ahaha this is a fun job to do... not.

ok start with getting into the rear guards, the corner of the bumper is held on with a bolt (has a phillips head though). you'll need to get the panel in the guard at the top of the flap off to get it. if you've ever taken the front bumper off you should have a good idea on where they are. in not, corner of bumper, stick finger in and feel for it.

next you need to pull your boot apart and take the tail lights out. you should be able to see 2 pairs of bolts on the inside of the boot. they're gold and have sharp tips. they are the main supporting bolts.

next unbolt the 2 bolts that were hidden under each of the lights. at this point the bumper will still stay there despite being completely unbolted. if you pull an end of the bumper back you'll see why, there are 2 big white clips on the sides. you should be able to carefully pull the bumper off (the clips should pop free)

oh watch the spike coming off the steel mount plates. you'll know what i mean when you see them. they unscrew, i recommend taking them off seeing as i stabbed myself with one
