the double row radiator may have too high of fin density... it blocks/restricts so much airflow, it cannot radiate heat properly... if no air diverters, shrouds, or cowling are in place, then air will bypas the radiator, reducing its efficacy

What are you using for coolant?
When you turn the heater on does it get hot? The heater should heat a car so it is comfortable in temps as low as -10c First though put a thermostat back in.

too thick of engine oil will also cause the engine to run hotter

carrying too many fat chicks and labouring the engine causes excessive engine heat.

Hahaha.... Very creative guys!
New temp gauge is scheduled tomorrow. If the reading is really hot, i'll have the thermostat installed over the weekend. As for the oil, i'm using castrol magnatec 15 40. It gets replaced every three months. Checked the hoses today. No bends or blockages seen. Shroud might be a good idea to try out. |

I just had an aftermarket water temp gauge installed yesterday.
It clocked 105 deg celcius on a mid afternoon (41 deg) with full ac on and with 3 passengers on a stop and go traffic. I havnt tried testing it uphill yet but it looks like i'll be at 110 to 115 deg if i do it. What are my options if i plan to overbuild against heat? Target temp is below 95 deg when going uphill touge. |

your option is do find the reason why the car is overheating.
target temp should be 92 deg with a thermostat fitted. |

You're not the only person with this setup but you're the only one having overheating issues. Unless you find the real cause, and that means going back to basics, you're only ever going to be patching a broken system.
As of now forget everything you have done and start again.
