Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has had cruise control fitted to a 96 model Astina V6. Any idea if its different to the 4?

cheers,
Andrew. [/colorost_uid0]

no but Im thinking there wouldnt be any huuuge difference. It would mainly depend on the methods that the cruise control uses to monitor and adjust your speed. if it hooks into the ECU, then yes there is a difference in which wires it connects to, because the ECUs will be different between the 4cyl and the 6cyl astinas.

Some of the cheaper aftermarket units I've seen have a thing that monitors the physical wheel rotations, and another unit that adjusts the accelerator cable. This kind of cruise control would work acoss both models of astina.

I'm a bit reluctant about after market cruise control. A friends dad had it fitted to his land rover. When approching a town in Qld went to turn it off and It wouldnt, he ended up going through the town at 100clicks lucky it was 1 in the morning and no one was around. That kinda of turned me off the things.[/colorost_uid0]

I think it is the same as the 4 since it was sold by the mazda dealer and same price as the 4.....

ezzy>>yup....could de activate it pushing on the brake pedal and button on the cruise control thingy[/colorost_uid0]
