[color=#000000ost_uid6]Sorry to disappoint you Big Mal, but I live in New Zealand remember ???
While I have visited Melbourne on two occasions and would seriously consider moving there (loved it) if the right job offer became available, I would jump tomorrow. (I went to Phillip Island to watch the World Superbikes in '99 and also in '00 as part of the trip) Damm, my jaw hit the floor the first time I saw how fast they were travelling on the last corner then down the main straight! ................ :O Sorry got a bit off track there.... Mike, the picture of the car was from NZ so $NZ dollar's. The car was sold as I said before, so I never actually saw it.*It was a 2.0L V6. Big Mal, as you said before you looked at getting the bar imported (Japan) but it got too expensive. Perhaps you should re-look at this option as the Yen is in the *:O *at the moment so it maybe worth while again? I'm going to Japan in January '03 on holiday for three weeks to visit my sister (she been asking when I'm going to visit her for a year now, I think she misses her younger brother and I haven't been to Japan before). I hope to do a side track to the 2003 TOKYO AUTO SALON * Hold up now before anyone starts, let me get this out, no lists or please bring me back some X, Y, Z's * * I do intend to take some pict's I hope I make it there! It's a "Veilside Style" front bar, most likely an imatation of an official Veilside front bar from some other car than an Astina. You'll notice that there are a lot of "Veilside Style" add-ons for plenty of cars. But i do know that Veilside don't do a kit for Astina's, hence the reason they don't know about it. Take a look at Tony's car [Lantis], he has a Veilside Style rear wing that's adjustable, but it's not actually from Veilside. It's very similar, if not the same to the one on that white Astina in the pic you have.Hope this helps you mate Cheers Adam.[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid1]Sorry about that RedTop. I got a real short term memory
problem. I seem to kill braincells every which way I can. I would still prefer to get a copied bar as that way I know that if I break it can get another one fairly simply. The other option is to copy the jap one that I would import but that way would relly get expensive. Thanks Mal[/colorost_uid1]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Hey RedTop anf BigMal,
i had the same prob as you 2 did, couldn't find anything to tune up my astina, especially my V6 GT. So last year i went to Japan to find some stuff...guess what...NADA/NOTHING/ZILCH to purchase there in Japan. I went to Tokyo,Osaka,Kyoto and Nagoya and in 10 days japan i only saw 1 astina(BA model) and nothing modified about it. I went to the mazda dealer and asked him about the model. He told me that the astina, especially the ba model 94-98 was actualkly made for export, for europe, australia,taiwan,hongkong,macau and thailand and malaysia. Japanese people aren'r very fond of hatchbacks. I looked on the streets and then i noticed...only sedans, convertibles or coupes. Only a handfew hatchbacks. That's why the aftersales for the astina is very rare in Japan. If you wanna look you should search in your own country (yes!!australia) or hongkong or maybe taiwan, where most of the products are made because of the low productions costs.. sorry to ruin your plans guys to get loads of aftersales market products but i got back in holland kind of disappointed....last month in hong kong i did succeed though, so maybe check out there.. by the way....PHAT astina's you have there in down under!!![/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid1]Cooldragon,
I agree and disagree. *Yeah the Astina hatch was sold mainly overseas due to its popularity but there is a following in Japan. You should look at either Lantishe or Team Japan or Astinanation etc and you will see the V6 Hatch is very popular there. Maybe not so in numbers as I think the last year they sold 1 thousand which I think is nothing considering the population but you can def find sites about the Lantis. The pics have almost all been deleted but the thumbnails are still there look at this page for stuff about racing Astina's. Have a look at the top right thumbnail, click on it and the fist pick is about a V6 turbo conversion http://aviotech.hp.infoseek.co.jp/top.htm Regards Mal[/colorost_uid1]

[color=#000000ost_uid1]I haven't spoken to Kelvin in over a year. He gave up the
cars and got married, bought a new house etc etc. My contact numbers are out of date. Dont think he wouldn't remember the bulbs as those pics of his car are prob 2 years ago. Regards Mal[/colorost_uid1]
