Although it shouldn't hurt it, right? Plus when I start upgrading the engine it should help already having the vents and scoops fitted.

a scoop or vent needs to be specifically designed for the shape of the car to get the most out of it...other than that it is normally useless...

IMO scoops are generaly a bad thing, as said above they act in a negative way aerodynamicly and more importantly they increase air pressure in the engine bay which will slow the natural movement of air through the radiator making the engine run warmer not cooler. Some scoops like those found on the bonnet of an XA-GT are good but they are generaly the exception.
Also with that kind of stuff on your car you're gonna have idiots in Cordias wanting to race you at every traffic light and get more than enough attention from the Police.

Doesn't matter what they are for just that they are efficient. You'll also find them on 935s, the Space Shuttle and loads more applications that go fast and don't need drag. Official title is NACA duct, NACA was the predecessor to NASA.

There efficient only so long as there placed on an area of high pressure. Some mx5s have them placed on headlights iirc, which would almost be too far back.

Well, here's the first photo of the beginning work for the project. This is just a minor alteration until I can get a custom bodykit made, and will have a little bit more work done to tidy it up until then.

CUSTOMISED FRONT BAR

Cut out crossbars in front of radiator.
installed and fibreglassed mesh grill in bar.
Moved license plate to left side of bar.
Resprayed entire bar to remove stone chips and scratches.

It seems the post doesn't like photos. Does anybody have any hints as to how to make the link show the photo?

upload to photobucket. then grab the "img" tag and paste it here. eg: obviously without the spaces and the url

using fagbook links for images is no good, as users without accounts cannot view your pics. use imageshack or photobuchet. the later being the better.
