Custom Air Box For Pod, Interested?
I've been toying with the idea of designing a custom air box for a pod filter. It would be a little bit larger than the stock air box and would be a combination of black base, with perspex lid. It would also have an inlet for a cold air intake. In theory, this would make a pod filter more effective than one exposed to the engine bay.
Would anyone be interested in a product like this? What would the determining factors be? What would you be willing to fork over for one? Any response would be appreciated, and as i said, its only an idea... |

If the pod filters in the engine bay itd no longer be CAI.
The box wouldnt be of any benefit to those with CAI. So itd only be for people who have a SRI or just added a cone filter or something to stock piping. For it to be worth while itd need to be tuned and need to have a way of getting air into the box. (Read: Cold Air) Best method would be using a OTR system to feed the intake or take air from the side of the radiator to feed the box. Tbh the cost of fabricating the box and being worth while for you would place it outside of most peoples price ranges. Youd prolly get more interested from a custom intake manifold

That kind of cild air box is a decent design. I would have suggested getting on the list for that box, but Rich is being quite slow in getting them made Gives you the chance to make your own
